Privacy Notice
This notice explains what happens to your personal information when you use this website, email Sentinel Ag Strategy, or book a conversation with us.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by Sentinel Ag Strategy Ltd (“Sentinel,” “we,” “us”), a private limited company registered in Scotland under company number SC892302. Sentinel is the controller of the personal information described in this notice, meaning we decide how and why it is used.
Registered office: 41 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, Scotland EH2 4HQ, United Kingdom. This is Sentinel’s registered office for company law purposes; it is not a visitor-facing office, and conversations with Sentinel take place directly with Justin, by email, video call, or an arrangement agreed between you.
Sentinel is founder-led: enquiries and bookings made through this website are handled directly by Justin Gayliard, Founder & Chief Executive Officer.
The information we collect
We collect personal information in two ways through this website:
- When you email us at info@sentinelagstrategy.com: whatever you choose to send us, which may include your name, email address, company or professional details, the content of your message, and any attachments you voluntarily include.
- When you book a conversation (on the Book page): the information you provide directly to Google’s appointment scheduling interface, typically your name, email address, and the appointment time you select.
We do not otherwise collect personal information through this website. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, and this website does not have user accounts or a login of any kind.
How we use your information, and why
Direct email enquiries. We use what you send us to read, respond to, and progress your enquiry. For an initial or exploratory message, we rely on legitimate interests — it is a reasonable and proportionate way to respond to a business enquiry you have chosen to send us. If your message concerns a specific potential engagement, we may also rely on taking steps at your request prior to a possible contract, once a particular engagement is genuinely under discussion — we do not treat every email as pre-contract activity by default.
Booking a conversation via Google Calendar. When you book an appointment, that information is used to schedule and conduct the conversation you have requested (including generating a Google Meet video call). We rely on legitimate interests (arranging a meeting you have actively requested) and, where the conversation concerns a potential engagement, on taking steps at your request prior to a possible contract. Providing this information is necessary to book an appointment through this method; if you would prefer not to, you can instead email us at info@sentinelagstrategy.com.
Website hosting and security logs. Like effectively all websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically generates limited technical logs (such as IP address, request timing, and similar server data) as part of operating and securing the site. We rely on legitimate interests (keeping the website secure and functioning correctly) for this processing. See “Hosting” below.
Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling
The Book page embeds Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling, operated through Sentinel’s Google Workspace account. Booking details you submit through the scheduler are used to display availability, arrange the appointment, and create the related calendar event and Google Meet details.
Sentinel is the controller of the booking information it receives for arranging and managing the conversation. The scheduler is a Google-operated service and provides direct links to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google’s own privacy and cookie information explains how Google processes information and uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with its services.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Firebase App Hosting, part of Google Cloud. The hosting service involves standard technical processing needed to deliver the website to your browser and protect it from abuse, including server and infrastructure logging.
Sentinel does not directly access identifiable visitor data from hosting logs for marketing or profiling purposes.
Cookies and browser storage
Sentinel does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies of its own on this website.
The Book page embeds Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling, a Google-operated service used to display availability and arrange conversations. When you open the Book page, the Google scheduler loads as a third-party service and Google may use cookies or browser storage to provide, maintain, and secure the scheduling service. The scheduler identifies itself as a Google service and provides direct links to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google’s own privacy and cookie information explains how Google uses these technologies and the applicable storage periods.
You may choose not to use the scheduler and contact Sentinel directly by email instead.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where necessary to provide the website and respond to you:
- Google, as the provider of Google Workspace (including Gmail, Calendar, and Meet) and Google Cloud / Firebase App Hosting (our intended hosting infrastructure).
- Professional advisers (such as accountants or legal counsel), where reasonably necessary and subject to confidentiality.
- Any party where we are required to disclose information by law.
International transfers
Google provides services globally, and information processed through Google Workspace (email, Calendar, Meet) or Google Cloud / Firebase App Hosting may be processed outside the United Kingdom. We do not claim that all information handled through this website stays within the UK. Where transfers occur, Google contractually commits to safeguards recognised under UK data protection law (such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent standard contractual clauses) as part of its Workspace and Cloud terms. We have not independently verified every detail of Google’s current transfer mechanisms and recommend reviewing Google’s own published data processing terms for the most current position.
How long we keep your information
Rather than a single fixed period, we use criteria appropriate to what the information relates to:
- Direct enquiries that don’t lead anywhere further: kept only as long as needed to conclude that exchange, then deleted within a reasonable period.
- Enquiries progressing toward a possible engagement, and booked conversations: kept for as long as that conversation or prospective engagement remains live, plus a limited further period in case you get back in touch.
- Where a client or business relationship is established: kept for the duration of that relationship and for a period afterward, as needed to meet legal, accounting, and professional obligations.
We periodically review information we hold and remove it once we no longer have a genuine reason to keep it.
Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling of any kind in connection with this website. Every enquiry and booking is reviewed personally.
Your rights
Depending on which lawful basis applies to a particular use of your information (see above), you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; have inaccurate information corrected; ask us to delete your information; restrict how we use it; and receive a copy of information you have provided to us in a portable format, where technically applicable. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you also have the right to object to that processing; if you object, we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue, or need to continue for legal reasons. We do not currently rely on consent for any processing described in this notice, so no consent-withdrawal applies at this time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint at any time — this right applies regardless of whether you contact us first, though we would welcome the opportunity to address your concern directly.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website or our processing activities change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
